The above response started during the post election violence whereby SWAP was supporting internally displaced and returnees with health products, material support and counseling. The main aim was to prevent diarrhea, malaria and other infections.
Currently SWAP is still supporting desperate cases who are our vendors or presented by our field staff. For example material support after losses like fire, destruction, payment of hospital bills, settling fee areas for schoolfees for orphans etc. Each case is presented in the meeting and further scrutinized before support is given.
SWAP has in the previous months and years responded to flood with other partners by providing water treatment, soap, mosquitonets to affected families and by rebuilding collapsed houses of the most desperate and vulnerable families.
SWAP now continues to support desperate cases identified in the community.
