Safe Water Systems is a household-based, sustainable water quality intervention that has been developed in response to the need for inexpensive, alternative means of water treatment and storage and the adoption of positive behavioral change for vulnerable populations lacking access to safe water. The training is for one day and is done at community level.

The main Goal is to:

  • To improve the microbial quality of water in homes by means of sustainable technology.
  • To reduce deaths and diarrheal diseases from contaminated water.
  • To improve the hygienic behaviors related to water use.
