Dr.Charles Orora is a Regional Programs Coordinator at Population Services Kenya, He holds a Doctorate Degree and Master of Science in Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance ,Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical sciences and Technology and currently ongoing with Master of Public Health from Liverpool John Moores University.Previsously worked for Population Services Internnational,Medical Emergency Relief, Action Against Hunger, Center for Climate Research ,Harvey and Keene Consulting among others. Experienced in coordination & implementation of Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Maternal Child Health, Health Systems Strengthening through Public/Private Sector and Reproductive Health interventions. Experienced in academia, taught and supervised Post graduate students across various universities. Passionate about Global Health Security and how crisis/disasters affect the Health systems. My work entails working around the health Systems building blocks to ensure that they are resilient and sustainable. Am also a lead expert in Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit-using its application to all health interventions and processes to ensure they are universally acceptable. My research interest is focused on Systems Thinking Approach in Public Health with touch points on all phases of Emergency Management Cycle. He has a wealth of Knowledge and Application of Human Centered Design and Behavioral Models in crafting lasting health Solutions Beryl Audi is a Community Activities Coordinator with KEMRI/CDC’s HIV Implementation Science Services – Clinical Services.
She has a background in Social work and Community Health and Development. In the past 9 years, she has worked in a HIV care and treatment program coordinating adherence counseling and psychosocial support services to people living with HIV (PLHIV), implementation of prevention with positives (PWP) intervention, strengthening facility –community linkages aimed at promoting access to HIV care and treatment services and patient retention, coordinating community outreach activities and working in partnership with other stakeholders in the HIV field. She has/is participating in the implementation of KEMRI/CDC supported operational research under HISS program.
Beryl is a TOT in HIV/AIDS education, PWP and Memory book, among others. She is also engaged in offering psychosocial counseling to PLHIV and building their capacity through targeted education and organized trainings.
She has a great passion working with PLHIV and OVCs. Her target is to always put a smile and instill hope in their lives.
