Catherine Nanjala Simiyu is a seasoned and award-winning Human Resources (HR) leader with over 14 years of expertise in human resource management, organizational development, financial management, and operations. As a Board Member of  SWAP, she provides strategic leadership in talent management, policy implementation, and governance, ensuring the organization’s long-term sustainability and operational excellence. She currently serves as the Associate Human Resources & Administration Manager at LVCT Health, where she oversees HR strategy, workforce planning, and compliance within a large-scale health NGO.

Catherine holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Diploma in Business Management, and a Diploma in Management Information Systems (MIS). A certified Human Resource Professional in Kenya, she is an active member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and the Institute of Management Information Systems (IMIS-UK). Her commitment to capacity-building and institutional efficiency is further strengthened by specialized training in Project Management, Leadership & Management in Health, and Global Mental Health from the University of Washington. With a strong track record in driving organizational transformation and fostering high-performing teams, Catherine continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing SWAP’s human capital and governance framework to support its mission of improving public health outcomes.
