George Odhiambo is the Training Manager at Safe Water and AIDS Project (SWAP) and a Co-Founder of the organization. With a Higher Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors (KAPC) and extensive experience in capacity building and community training, he has been instrumental in developing and delivering impactful training programs. Over the years, he has facilitated trainings in counseling, memory projects, home-based care, and business management for organizations such as CDC, Pandipieri Health Program, Plan International, Family Health International, AMPATH, and the Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu. His expertise in community health education and psychosocial support has contributed significantly to strengthening local and regional health initiatives.

George played a key role in developing SWAP’s training manuals on safe water and business, which are now widely used in the organization’s programming. Additionally, he is a recognized facilitator of the Memory Book Project, an initiative that has been adopted by numerous NGOs in the region for its role in HIV/AIDS counseling and family legacy planning. As a member of SWAP’s management team, he continues to drive innovative training strategies, ensuring that communities and health workers are empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to improve health outcomes and economic resilience. His dedication to education, mentorship, and community empowerment remains at the core of SWAP’s mission.
